The deeper meaning to run this business, is that we would like to have a positive impact by using the influence it can have giving an order for a production - a piece of work that can give some employment and skill.
Galleri Lang Sommer work to preserve and develop traditional crafts, especially traditionally female crafts. Thus, the gallery can help to combat poverty through growth and employment. The gallery work to promote the living conditions of women, especially in Nepal where it is very important that women have the opportunity to have an independent income to achieve freedom. We want to work in responcibility to the environment. We want to create a business that need not be petty, and where there is space for unfolding realization of ideas. A form of workshop for craft where you just love to be because the environment is nice and welcoming. Being a virtuoso and create viriositet within a field.
We work to shape, create, and do the kind of things that communicates joy throughout the lifecycle.

Therefore the name Qstories where q stands for quality. The kind of quality it is to own a thing that makes someone happy throughout its life cycle.
History :
Throughout life I - Susanne Strange - owner of Galleri Lang Sommer, have had a special fondness to all sorts of crafts. To be working in a workshop to shape the images that I had in my imagination with my hands, have always been part of my life, says Susanne Strange.
As an independent business owner, it has been exciting to be able to shape directly from hand to sales within a very wide range of material. Susanne has been working into willow, wool, glass, textiles, jewelry and painting, ... ... ... ... Wool has for a very long time been a special interest - a material with nothing but good qualities!
It was also my interest in wool and how its plasticity allows it to be shaped in such countless people many ways that made me from running a small business in a lovely water edge area suddenly ran a business that had implications for many families on the other side of the globe.
I went to Nepal to visit a filtration unit that we could exchange handles the material wool. It was the year to more visits and I became a buyer of the products we developed.
It's a great thing as a small company to monitor and influence the production process. And that could contribute positively to the development of an area. It makes the daily work of a whole new dimension that every day I am delighted.

This beautiful dress is made from recycled saris. There are used approx. two saris for a dress. The upper part are sewn with elastic thread, so it fits snugly. The lower skirt has an extent of approx. two meters.
File like a princess - for only DKK 1.200.
